- minor timeskip to when the BoS has its feet under it again, shaun asks riley to go up and keep an eye on them and deacon goes with
- they get assigned to a BoS squad composed of AU versions of chancellery guards (paladin archimedes o'hallan, knight-captain anthony norris, lancer-sargeant alex reyes, knight riley reynolds, knight everett wynter, knight henry "hal" saller, aspirant 'jack' "deacon" 'priest')
- maybe some minor quests involving getting to know them, gotta get some solid Bonding going
- sarrith (sarah, secret enclave remnant) and sal's romeo and juliet romance
- that one quest where you get the nukes from the glowing sea for the BoS
- wynter's mistake and gradual ghoulification and the position it puts the squad in
- blind betrayal

- shaun announces ferran officially as his successor
- ferran dealing with the short institute quests that result from that
- shaun discovering ferran's a slut and trying to talk to him about it
- zetta freaking out bc they're spending all this time waiting for her to recover and dealing with the BoS, and not having the time to try to figure out a way to save shaun
- zetta, in general, driving shaun slowly up the wall because she's cooped up and needs to be kept occupied or else Bad Things Start Happening, why is this shaun's life, this was not what he was expecting at all
- ferran going on missions with x6-88 / house divided, warwick
- nathan and zay's one night stand with ferran becoming not a one night stand any more
- at some point we need to have nathan call deacon a mongrel to his face so zetta can go positively nuclear
- zay finding out nathan is taking buffout

- build towards the railroad and institute being on better terms (not *stable*, but they need to be in a position where they're willing to make an alliance at the battle for bunker hill and afterwards to take the BoS down)
- probably need to do a meeting with dez and carrington, bc jfc (and ferran being the next director makes it easier to make negotiations on the institute's behalf though shaun probably doesnt fully trust him with that wrt the railroad yet, shaun needs to see ferran make decisions that benefit the institute OVER the railroad for that)

- mass fusion happens before battle for bunker hill, lighting a fire under the brotherhood's ass (still use it as the faction cut-off point?)
- at the battle, brotherhood wins -- keeping them a legitimate threat and serving as the push for the institute and railroad to work together against them

[Zay can't help but laugh at how quickly Nathan made up his mind. He rises just shortly after Nathan does, then makes a loose gesture with his wrist.] Do you plan to order, or should I do it for you? [he teases.]

[timesbureaucrat]

I can do it. Come with me.

[He walks towards Ferran and clears his throat to get his attention.]

Shroud. ...uh, Mr. Reynolds. Are you...ah...busy? Right now?

[recalcitrare]

[Oh, this'll be good.

Zay barely manages to keep from snickering. He doesn't even try to keep a straight face, though; that, he knows, would be hopeless.]

[reformedcriminal]

[Ferran keeps a perfectly straight face, even while Nathan calls him "Shroud."]

Not particularly. I was going to wash up. I just got back from a mission on the surface. But it's nothing that can't wait if necessary.

[recalcitrare]

[Zay could take a chair, set it up in Nathan's bathroom, sit Nathan down in his lap, and enjoy him squirming as they watch Ferran in the shower. He has no intention of telling Nathan this plan.]

[timesbureaucrat]

My shower is available.

[Nathan licks his lips nervously. Ferran was interested before, but there's no guarantee that he's interested now. Maybe Ferran likes to keep the "one" in his one-night-stands.]

[recalcitrare]

[And how did Nathan happen to read his mind? Well, it's an expected connection. An attractive person you're propositioning mentions needing a shower, you immediately think of watching them. He supposes it's only natural. That doesn't mean Nathan'll expect the teasing. Or maybe he will, after the way Zay's treated him all day.]

[reformedcriminal]

[Ferran's lips twitch in a tiny smile.]

All right.

I'll have to strip out of the Shroud costume, of course. I hope you don't get distracted by it.

[If he's going to shower in their quarters, they'd better pay the appropriate attention to his amazing physique and not get diverted by the suit and coat when he's not in it.

Nathan's probably going to want to try it on.]

[recalcitrare]

[Zay can't keep his mouth shut any more.] Of course not, [he drawls.] Not at all.

[timesbureaucrat]

I will not be distracted. Very focused, I assure you.

[recalcitrare]

Come along, then. No reason to put it off.

[reformedcriminal]

Lead the way. Or would you rather I go first?

[Although the coat, impressive though it is, hides his fine arse. A definite disadvantage to the costume.]

[recalcitrare]

Please. [Zay makes a gentlemanly sweeping gesture ahead of them.]

[timesbureaucrat]

[Ferran heads off in the direction of Nathan's quarters. Nathan sidles up next to Zay to walk close by his side as they follow.]

[recalcitrare]

[Zay doesn't bother resisting to rest his hand between Nathan's shoulder blades as they walk.]

[timesbureaucrat]

[Nathan leans into Zay slightly and wishes his quarters were closer.

Also wishes he had a stealth boy right now so no one could see him publicly like this, but he can't bring himself to draw away either. Ah well, it's not as if it's a secret that he and Zay are shagging like radrabbits. Just so long as no one suspects that Ferran's involved too, they'll be fine.]

[recalcitrare]

[Zay leans in to murmur in Nathan's ear.] Have plans yet, dear?

[timesbureaucrat]

Too many. [He whispers back.] There's so many options.

And half those plans require me lasting through Ferran's shower, which might not even happen.

[recalcitrare]

Mmm, I have no doubt we could get you to come twice tonight, [Zay murmurs back, eyebrows raised and a slight smirk on his face.]

[timesbureaucrat]

Oh God. [He whimpers at the thought. Then clears his throat to try to restore some dignity.]

Challenge accepted.

[recalcitrare]

[Zay can't help but snicker at Nathan's response.] Good. I'm rather looking forward to see how you fare.

[reformedcriminal]

[As soon as they're in Nathan's quarters and behind closed doors, Ferran slips the fedora off his head with a showy flip and begins to unbutton the coat.]

[recalcitrare]

[Zay makes sure the door is locked and immediately settles up against Nathan's back, hands settled on his hips.]

You realize you'll have to put all that back on after your shower, [he drawls.]

It wouldn't be the first time I've pretended to be the Silver Shroud during sex. [Ferran shrugs out of his coat then gets to work on the suit jacket buttons.

Nathan presses back against Zay and tries to hold back a whine.]

I'd say I'm surprised, but I'm sure we all know I'd be lying. [Zay softly kisses Nathan's neck, just under his ear, and slowly wraps his arms around his waist.]
