How To:
this meme is a little bit different from the usuals you see on bakerstreet, but those of you who have experience with tumblr RP will recognize the style! the general idea of it is this: you pick one or more sentence prompts for your character to say to another character. there are two main ways i picture this going down:
Version A:
it's also worth noting that there's nothing forcing you to use a prompt as-is — if you wanna change up the phrasing a little bit, change up pronouns, whatever, go for it! and feel free to do a li'l OOC threading to discuss ideas for scenarios or ask about information if needed!
have fun, y'all!

Version A:
1. post your character with a blank top-level like normal bakerstreet memes.Version B:
2. other people pick a prompt for their character to say to yours, and tag you with it — with or without scenarios attached.
3. you thread from there in whatever style and scenario you'd like!
1. pick one or more prompts you feel suit your character.of course, if you think of another way to use the prompts that you like better, you're welcome to do it that way! for example, you don't have to use the prompts as something your character says... but rather as a leading prompt for the scenario!
2. post your top-level with those prompts (with letters or numbers assigned to each prompt) — with or without scenarios, up to you!
3. other people choose a prompt to reply to.
4. you thread from there in whatever style and scenario you'd like!
it's also worth noting that there's nothing forcing you to use a prompt as-is — if you wanna change up the phrasing a little bit, change up pronouns, whatever, go for it! and feel free to do a li'l OOC threading to discuss ideas for scenarios or ask about information if needed!

The Prompts:
- “This wasn’t a nightmare. What I remember most about it was how real it was. ”
- “Who am I — at this point in my life — to talk about unreality?
- “I don’t have to explain myself to you… but I will.”
- “Good people deserve good things.”
- “It’s dangerous out here.”
- “Want to see something funny?”
- “There are times I hate you more than any of them.”
- “So much of what I’ve seen is beautiful — more than you would think. Even the worst things.”
- “We are nothing if not absurd.”
- “This was not something that he had to do in order to survive… it was a demonstration.”
- “The darkness is vast here. It really has a depth to it. Keeps going.”
- “He wants me to know he’s following me.”
- “I thought you were dead! I really did.”
- “I couldn’t think of another reason you would vanish like that. Just gone.”
- “I mourned you.”
- “I never loved anyone so hard. From my goddamned gut. So screw you for that.”
- “I don’t think the world passes through here.”
- “I don’t think the world has been to this town in a long time.”
- “It won’t help, though. We are helpless.”
- “Nothing ever is a surprise to you, is it? You always know everything.”
- “So, my wife isn’t dead. That’s good to know. That’s new information.”
- “Every relationship, no matter how long, no matter the history, is temporary. Separation is never a surprise.”
- “Are you doing this? Are you doing this to me?!”
- “I don’t know what this means. I only know that it’s meaning does not include me. I am not necessary to it.”
- “Freedom can be good or bad. There can be terrible freedom.”
- “You freed me and I didn’t ask you to. I didn’t want you to.”
- “I want our lines to cross one more time.”
- “You may think you’re free, but you’re not. You are not free of me.”
- “You know I can’t resist a bad joke.”
- “What was that? What the hell was that?!”
- “You know that I get scared. It doesn’t stop me from doing what I need to get done, but I’m scared pretty much all the time, just of living — of life — of going on with the day to day. ”
- “Oh, god, am I being condescending? I am, aren’t I? Shit.”
- “You miss me?”
- “Where would you even go that I couldn’t follow?”
- “There’s not a person in this world who would help you.”
- “I could take a big bite of you right now and it would be over. I could devour you.”
- “If I had to come talk to you, then you’ve been asking the wrong questions.”
- “My advice is ‘stop asking the wrong questions’.”
- “I can’t go home. ‘Home’ isn’t a place, ‘home’ was a person! I can’t go home.”
- “They let me off with a warning, I guess. I guess it’s a warning I’m going to ignore.”
- “Is this the world you left me?”
- “What is this world you’ve left me?”
- “Hey, help me with this, would you?”
- “I shouldn’t judge. No one should. We all do lots of things we shouldn’t, though.”
- “Turns out that I didn’t know what you were thinking at all.”
- “Are there wild cows?”
- “Of course ‘we’ don’t talk. I do. You vanish.”
- “I love cruise control more than I love most of my family members.”
- “You’ve made yourself a mystery, now.”
- “Time moves, but we stay still. We only like to think that anything is ever changed.”
- “Was I a fool?”
- “When it was just the two of us, it wasn’t like being alone. But it also wasn’t like being with another person. It was something in between.”
- “You thought you had good reasons to lie.”
- “You were lying to me.”
- “What was worth my trust? And what was worth the life we had together?”
- “There are far worse thing than men circling these roads.”

But if this guy's talking about the android Deacon thinks he's talking about, then they need to shake him. Like, now.
"Come on, let's go do something super unpredictable."
no subject
"What, go to fuckin' Disneyworld? That'd really throw him for a loop."
He chuckles at his own wry joke. But, honestly? He doesn't know how to be unpredictable anymore. Fuck.
"You got any ideas?"

Deacon walks next to Hank, keeping his gait casual. Just two pals going out to a bar or a restaurant or, hell, maybe the Detroit Institute of Arts. Just because they look like a pair of scruffy old dudes doesn't mean their hypothetical selves can't be cultured.
"Now that you've said Disneyworld, he's probably predicted that you'd say that. He knows you, but he doesn't know me. Follow me. I'm great at erratic and directionless."
no subject
Hank looks around as they walk and, finally, shrugs in defeat. "I can tell." The erratic and directionless bit. But aside from the minor ribbing? "Go on, lead the way."
He doesn't know what Connor could want for him, not yet anyway. But he's pretty sure it wouldn't be good.

It's not a serious suggestion. (Not yet, although if things get really hairy he's not above shoplifting a pair of crocs in half a size too small to try to throw a Cyberlife 'droid off the trail. But he's got a few tricks he can try first.)
He makes a right turn at the next street and heads towards a busy crosswalk.

"Markus got out, didn't he?" Hank has to check. He doesn't want to know where he went, and Deacon might be a lying fuck but he at least counts on him to be honest about that. There's no way anything good could come from the former sexbot leading the charge for androids. Not that he can blame her hatred of humanity (they're pretty hatable), it's Markus that's capable of unity. She's not.
