[open | meme] "alice isn't dead" sentence prompts

How To:
this meme is a little bit different from the usuals you see on bakerstreet, but those of you who have experience with tumblr RP will recognize the style! the general idea of it is this: you pick one or more sentence prompts for your character to say to another character. there are two main ways i picture this going down:
Version A:
it's also worth noting that there's nothing forcing you to use a prompt as-is — if you wanna change up the phrasing a little bit, change up pronouns, whatever, go for it! and feel free to do a li'l OOC threading to discuss ideas for scenarios or ask about information if needed!
have fun, y'all!

this meme is a little bit different from the usuals you see on bakerstreet, but those of you who have experience with tumblr RP will recognize the style! the general idea of it is this: you pick one or more sentence prompts for your character to say to another character. there are two main ways i picture this going down:
Version A:
1. post your character with a blank top-level like normal bakerstreet memes.Version B:
2. other people pick a prompt for their character to say to yours, and tag you with it — with or without scenarios attached.
3. you thread from there in whatever style and scenario you'd like!
1. pick one or more prompts you feel suit your character.of course, if you think of another way to use the prompts that you like better, you're welcome to do it that way! for example, you don't have to use the prompts as something your character says... but rather as a leading prompt for the scenario!
2. post your top-level with those prompts (with letters or numbers assigned to each prompt) — with or without scenarios, up to you!
3. other people choose a prompt to reply to.
4. you thread from there in whatever style and scenario you'd like!
it's also worth noting that there's nothing forcing you to use a prompt as-is — if you wanna change up the phrasing a little bit, change up pronouns, whatever, go for it! and feel free to do a li'l OOC threading to discuss ideas for scenarios or ask about information if needed!
have fun, y'all!

Re: rj maccready | fallout 4, modern
[The great, green jewel. Nope, not the Emerald City. That's a different story.
The citizens worship the wall like it died and crawled out of a hole three days later. Not that there's anything wrong with boarding up against muscled mutants twice your size, but every extreme had its boiling point. Francis picked up on it from day numero uno. Even without her newbie jump-suit, her aura had to have absorbed that faded blue. Fran caught the whispers by Power Noodles, the glances from wary guards. Sure, she acclimated eventually... Kinda. But it seems like every time she enters the gate, people up their dosage of crazy-pills.
Francis turns away from the Surplus, Myrna's eyes drill into her back. The conspiracy theorist insisted the sole survivor was acting off. She scrutinized every inch of the gold watches Fran tried to sell. Finally, Myrna accepted them with a huff and tossed a bag of caps her way. With a nudge to MacCready's shoulder, Francis twirled her finger beside her head. Cuckoo, Cuckoo. They weren't even out of the trader's line of sight yet.]
These people man... they listen t'the same music, talk t'the same people, dress the same way. If anythin' is even a little off-color, they piss their pants.
MacCready | Fallout 3
b “You were lying to me.”
c “My advice is ‘stop asking stupid questions’.”
d [ Or pick a prompt/quote to say to him! ]
b;
(well, you can. but it's messy.)
so while his expression is briefly one shared by dogs everywhere when they do something they shouldn't it doesn't really last all that long. because he's cyram and maccready should probably know what he's like by now. )
Basically every third word that comes out of my mouth is a lie. Why is it only bothering you now?
( where 'bothering' is defined by 'actually trying to talk about it' and not just 'shooting him and/or beating the shit out of him'. as you do. )

Charon | Fallout 3
Security Company / Crime AU
[Kaz has known for a long time that Ocelot had planned to kill him. He'd finally moved on, set up his own security company, tried to discretely build up the resistance and find the boy that could eventually take Ocelot down (because Kaz knows he damn well can not).]
[Unfortunately he's under the impression Charon couldn't either. Charon, not exactly the master planner. Someone branded deeply by the last puppetmaster to handle him, left malleable and broken, and in being that somehow also being the only person Kaz has left to trust. He's put a weight on him that he never thought he'd allow anyone again.]
[And that's why, he decides, he has to find a way to let him go.]
[To keep him safe he has to find someone to take his contract. And then he has to go talk to that monster.]
[He knows the contract is a sensitive matter; it has been since he realized he just can't liberate the guy from it. He's like a fuckin' genie, bound to it like a lamp. Take the lamp, and the genie just isn't a genie, right? Or whatever piss poor analogy exists.]
[He's getting out of the car, near the mobile security office, still mulling things over when he gets his crutch tangled in the seat belt. With no small amount of consternation he grunts, attempting to shake it loose.]
Need some help here... [He says it, and while it's worded like it's a harsh demand to an employee, it's spoken like a tired request to an old friend.]
lone wanderer link ahoy
And that might have had something to do with why he bought the contract. Link doesn't talk much, so... He listens. Amata always told him he was good at listening, even to the things people don't say. Or... Maybe especially to the things people don't say. And when Link watched Charon and Ahzrukhal, when he listened to them talk... There was just something there that said Link needed to help. And there was only one thing he could think of.
Link didn't think further ahead than that, though. He didn't really think about what he'd do with Charon's contract. He can't say he's really comfortable with having it. But... He'll admit he's needed the help. And not just with combat, or little survival things like how to safely cook various wasteland critter meats, or things like that. But also...]
Are there wild cows?
[... with general wasteland knowledge. Link knows they're not actually called cows any more, these two-headed ones. But to him, they're still cows, like he read about in school. And he might not talk much, but apparently, he has no trouble finding the words for questions other people might consider embarrassing.]

I get that. But it doesn't mean you don't have a place to go to now. Hell, you have four the last I counted. And if that isn't good enough I'll carve out a hole in a cave or something.

[A] AU magical girls into DCTV? Why Not?
It's got all magical girls on edge, including Kyoko. Which is why she's been cracking down on trespassers lately. This guy obviously isn't a magical girl, but he put up a decent fight against that familiar. She thinks he might've even killed it if she hadn't interfered. She's staring him down, spear resting on her shoulder, as she demands what the hell he thinks he's doing. His attitude is pissing her the hell off.
“I don’t have to explain myself to you… but I will.”
"Then start talking, asshole." She swings her spear down to point at him. "Or else I'm gonna make you regret coming into my territory. You're already in hot water for messing with my work, so don't play games with me."
hey, multi-universe of infinite variations is canon in DC, so every AU is basically canon AU!

alt prompt, fallout AU. this got long I'M SORRY
Bellamy's been assigned to scope the guy out, and thank god he was, because he does not want the others to know what he's found out over the course of his background check. ("Assigned" is a bit of a strong word, but he's not going to split the hairs. He let Nathan give it to him like an assignment, and he took it as one.) Lieutenant Hank Anderson, visiting from up in Detroit, of all places, on... unofficial business. The fact that there's an option for it to be unofficial, you know, as opposed to official, made the hair on the back of Bellamy's neck stand up. And, hey, it's in his assignment to get as much information as possible. So he put his ear to the ground and followed caravan talk and gossip and even put some boots to the ground, too, put some distance between himself and the Commonwealth to chase a few leads. He didn't go far, didn't have long enough to go far, but managed to go far enough.
And, man. He is not happy with what he's found out. It's that "missed a stair" feeling, the plunge in the stomach, the catch of the breath in the throat. That "waking up from a nightmare to find out it wasn't a dream" feeling, the clawing panic of wanting to scramble up the walls until you find a window to slip out of.
Fuck. Bellamy's kneejerk reaction: they don't need to know. Oh, he knows they'd want to know. Especially Nathan. He in particular will be majorly pissed if he finds out Bellamy was keeping this from him. But, christ, the Enclave, alive, kicking, thriving -- The last thing Bellamy needs is for their little group, most of it, anyway, to go running up north.
But: again. Bright sides, sanity, et cetera. They didn't set a rendezvous. Didn't even respond to the radio message. Nathan wanted to make sure it wasn't fake, wasn't a trap, before making contact. Official contact, anyway. Bellamy can take the time to track down where this Lieutenant Hank Anderson has been laying low, make some unofficial contact, probe for information, gauge reactions... and find out if he can salvage this situation, somehow.
Luckily, he's parked at Bunker Hill, doing whatever jobs he can snag to keep the caps rolling in, which he then hands to the Savoldis. It means Bellamy needs to make sure Louis isn't in, but, also luckily, that isn't exactly difficult. He needs to not be himself for this, because he doesn't want to take the very slim chance any of the others might find out, so instead of walking in covered in his usual layers upon layers of clothing, he goes with something less immediately identifiable. When Bellamy walks up to Bunker Hill, he's dressed like a scavver: sturdy clothing, leathers, gas mask, hood up to keep the Boston rain off his head, backpack heavy with scraps to sell to Deb.
He plays the part, bartering for the best price for selling his scav and for topping up on ammo and chems, before rolling on up to the bar. To top off the disguise... Bellamy claps a hand on Anderson's shoulder to brace himself as he takes a seat on the stool next to him. He hates touching anyone, but that's exactly what'll throw anyone off his scent. "Hey, man," he says to Joe, lifting his free hand in the air to catch his attention. "Gimme a beer and a couple of whatevers-on-a-stick you got, will you?" His other hand he's leaving on Anderson's shoulder, despite the way it's making his skin crawl all the way up his arm, as if he hasn't noticed.
There you go.

She frowns darkly into her box of pocky, half-empty already. The last time she talked about this... well... It's not like it went well. She'd think she'd eventually learn that telling people the truth about herself doesn't ever work out the way she wants it to. But here she is, looking at doing it again. What the hell is wrong with her?
"Yeah, well." She buys herself some more time by sticking a couple of fingers into the box and spending more time rooting around for a pocky stick than she actually needs. "Some people like to act like they're above all that." Wait, no, that isn't what she wants to be saying, either. She doesn't want to dredge up her unfinished business with Mami or Sayaka any more than she wants this conversation to go badly. Her frown deepens and she bites through the pocky when she meant to just hold it between her teeth. She stews for a moment, despite herself, as she desperately casts about for something else to say. "But I don't care. I learned my lesson. I'm going to live my life the way I want to."
