- minor timeskip to when the BoS has its feet under it again, shaun asks riley to go up and keep an eye on them and deacon goes with
- they get assigned to a BoS squad composed of AU versions of chancellery guards (paladin archimedes o'hallan, knight-captain anthony norris, lancer-sargeant alex reyes, knight riley reynolds, knight everett wynter, knight henry "hal" saller, aspirant 'jack' "deacon" 'priest')
- maybe some minor quests involving getting to know them, gotta get some solid Bonding going
- sarrith (sarah, secret enclave remnant) and sal's romeo and juliet romance
- that one quest where you get the nukes from the glowing sea for the BoS
- wynter's mistake and gradual ghoulification and the position it puts the squad in
- blind betrayal

- shaun announces ferran officially as his successor
- ferran dealing with the short institute quests that result from that
- shaun discovering ferran's a slut and trying to talk to him about it
- zetta freaking out bc they're spending all this time waiting for her to recover and dealing with the BoS, and not having the time to try to figure out a way to save shaun
- zetta, in general, driving shaun slowly up the wall because she's cooped up and needs to be kept occupied or else Bad Things Start Happening, why is this shaun's life, this was not what he was expecting at all
- ferran going on missions with x6-88 / house divided, warwick
- nathan and zay's one night stand with ferran becoming not a one night stand any more
- at some point we need to have nathan call deacon a mongrel to his face so zetta can go positively nuclear
- zay finding out nathan is taking buffout

- build towards the railroad and institute being on better terms (not *stable*, but they need to be in a position where they're willing to make an alliance at the battle for bunker hill and afterwards to take the BoS down)
- probably need to do a meeting with dez and carrington, bc jfc (and ferran being the next director makes it easier to make negotiations on the institute's behalf though shaun probably doesnt fully trust him with that wrt the railroad yet, shaun needs to see ferran make decisions that benefit the institute OVER the railroad for that)

- mass fusion happens before battle for bunker hill, lighting a fire under the brotherhood's ass (still use it as the faction cut-off point?)
- at the battle, brotherhood wins -- keeping them a legitimate threat and serving as the push for the institute and railroad to work together against them

[Ferran just hums in reply, too distracted by Riley's throat, nuzzling and kissing just under his ear.]

[Riley breathes out softly.] You're not drinking.

[Blush doesn't rise in Riley's neck the way it usually does; he goes from barely any blush to being entirely red from neck to the tips of his ears to the roots of his hair, all at once.] I... I -- Oh. [He turns abruptly to take Ferran's face in his hands and kiss him.]

[Ferran closes his eyes and sinks into the kiss, opening his mouth for Riley and inviting him in. His fingers delicately brush over Riley's cheeks.]

[Riley makes a soft sound at the light touches and pushes more into the kiss, stroking his fingers down his neck.]

Aaaaaaand we've lost them. They're gone. Hey, Zetta, want to go into the bedroom and fuck?

Hell yes. [Even if he just meant it as a joke, she's still all fucking riled now.] These two can stay out here and do whatever they want. [Riley doesn't seem to notice them.]

[Deacon meant it both as a joke, but also a serious suggestion dressed up as a joke. So he'll go for it.]

You'll need to get up first. [Since she sprawled on them.]

What do you want to bet that they don't even notice right away?

It's a guarantee, honestly. [Zetta swings her legs off of their laps -- and Riley just uses the opportunity to turn further into Ferran. She snorts as she stands.]

[Deacon stands up and takes Zetta's hand. Behind them on the couch Ferran leans into Riley and whimpers softly.]

Have fun guys. I know we will.

[Riley is actually taking charge, for once -- He's still absorbed in Ferran, one arm wrapped around his waist, the other skimming all over him, everywhere he can reach. Zetta rolls her eyes at them affectionately and tugs on Deacon's hand to lead the way into the bedroom. (She supposes this is Ferran's positive reinforcement.)]

[Deacon grins and follows Zetta to the bedroom.]

That escalated fast. Like, a stealth Riley making a surprise entrance.

Ferran said he was picking him over alcohol. I can't even pretend to be surprised it turned out like this. I suppose this gives us an opportunity to pretend we're back at the Rexford and we're listening to them through the wall. [Because there's no door to close between the living area and the bedroom, so it isn't as though they can actually indulge.]

[ersatzeverything]

Maybe we'll have to try to drown them out.

[He shuffles up behind Zetta and grasps her hips.]

[Zetta leans back against him, relishing in the feel of his body against hers for a moment before she starts to grind.] I'm sure that'll remind them we're here.

Think they'd join the team at that point, or compete as rivals?

[God, she feels so good. He'd had a half chub from the games before, but now he's starting to harden more fully.]

It's arguable, but I think I'd be most surprised if they were actually capable of stopping. [Zetta leans her head back against him for a moment before saying,] Help me take this fucking sling off. I doubt we'll be doing anything wild enough to fuck my arm up.

[He starts to work on the straps as he rocks against her, pressing the growing mound in his trousers against her ass.]

I hate not having both hands to grab you with. [She pitches her voice low and she rolls her hips.] I can't wait to be rid of it for good.

[He finishes with the buckles and carefully pulls the sling away and tosses it aside.]

Oh, I have no doubt. [Zetta takes a moment to stretch her arm first, then she turns around to face him. She presses her front up against his, reaching around him to squeeze his ass with both hands.] I figured I'd start here.

[His voice is slightly breathless.]
