- minor timeskip to when the BoS has its feet under it again, shaun asks riley to go up and keep an eye on them and deacon goes with
- they get assigned to a BoS squad composed of AU versions of chancellery guards (paladin archimedes o'hallan, knight-captain anthony norris, lancer-sargeant alex reyes, knight riley reynolds, knight everett wynter, knight henry "hal" saller, aspirant 'jack' "deacon" 'priest')
- maybe some minor quests involving getting to know them, gotta get some solid Bonding going
- sarrith (sarah, secret enclave remnant) and sal's romeo and juliet romance
- that one quest where you get the nukes from the glowing sea for the BoS
- wynter's mistake and gradual ghoulification and the position it puts the squad in
- blind betrayal

- shaun announces ferran officially as his successor
- ferran dealing with the short institute quests that result from that
- shaun discovering ferran's a slut and trying to talk to him about it
- zetta freaking out bc they're spending all this time waiting for her to recover and dealing with the BoS, and not having the time to try to figure out a way to save shaun
- zetta, in general, driving shaun slowly up the wall because she's cooped up and needs to be kept occupied or else Bad Things Start Happening, why is this shaun's life, this was not what he was expecting at all
- ferran going on missions with x6-88 / house divided, warwick
- nathan and zay's one night stand with ferran becoming not a one night stand any more
- at some point we need to have nathan call deacon a mongrel to his face so zetta can go positively nuclear
- zay finding out nathan is taking buffout

- build towards the railroad and institute being on better terms (not *stable*, but they need to be in a position where they're willing to make an alliance at the battle for bunker hill and afterwards to take the BoS down)
- probably need to do a meeting with dez and carrington, bc jfc (and ferran being the next director makes it easier to make negotiations on the institute's behalf though shaun probably doesnt fully trust him with that wrt the railroad yet, shaun needs to see ferran make decisions that benefit the institute OVER the railroad for that)

- mass fusion happens before battle for bunker hill, lighting a fire under the brotherhood's ass (still use it as the faction cut-off point?)
- at the battle, brotherhood wins -- keeping them a legitimate threat and serving as the push for the institute and railroad to work together against them

[Riley glances down at Ferran, and... sees the state of his hair. Oh, wow. He lightly touches the side of his head, a corner of his mouth quirking.] Sure. I can help make sure you get it all out.

Good.

[Ferran stands up and gently leads Riley towards the shower, a pleased smirk on his face. Not that anything exciting is going to happen in the shower, but he still likes the thought of being able to have his hands all over Riley's body and have Riley's hands on him.

Deacon watches them go then turns his head towards Zetta.]

I'm getting the feeling that Ferran should be telling me "thank you."

[Zetta laughs.] You have a point. Well, it's not like they've gone far. [She raises her voice.] Oh, gorgeous?

[reformedcriminal]

[Ferran pauses and looks to Zetta.]

Hm?

[capcious]

[She pats the top of Deacon's head.] Someone wants a thank you.

[reformedcriminal]

Odd, I don't recall him fingering me while giving me a blowie. What am I thanking him for?

Your shower opportunity. [Riley blushes -- at what both of them said.]

[reformedcriminal]

Thank you. [Ferran drawls and adds a sarcastic bow of gratitude.] I hope you can come on me again some time.

I expect a warm welcome when we return.

[capcious]

Naturally, darling. We'll be lonely without you.

[As Ferran walks away again Deacon murmurs to Zetta.]

I will always remember this as the day that Ferran got dirty.

For, like, two minutes.

Seriously, how does a guy who travels the wasteland stay that clean all the time?

[Zetta snickers.] I've no idea, [she answers him, matching his volume. She kisses under his ear.] Apparently, the Achilles heel of his superpower is cum. I can't say I'm surprised. It suits him.

[Despite the temptation to linger in the shower with Riley, the pull of their bed wins out, and ten minutes later Ferran is clean and dried and slipping under the covers naked to curl up against whoever is within reach.]

[Zetta wraps her arm around his shoulders, drawing him near. Her grin is soft at the edges.] That took less time than I was expecting.

[Ferran sinks against her, legs tangling, almost nose-to-nose.]

I feared what you and Deacon might get up to unsupervised.

I was gonna propose paint ball fight on the bed.

[inhonorof]

[Riley settles in on Ferran's other side, nestling up against him, arms around his waist, and pressing his nose against the back of his neck for a moment.] We don't even have paint ball guns, [he adds to the conversation.] How do you even know about those?

[Ferran reaches behind him to cup Riley's hip and hold him close.

Deacon rests his cheek on Zetta's shoulder.]

I was recruited by a team of benevolent aliens to try to save the world by playing in an epic paint ball fight against evil.

Uh, my team lost. It was a bummer. So, yeah, this apocalypse? My bad.

[capcious]

[Zetta snickers, lifting her hand to gently stroke her knuckles across Deacon's cheek.] I'd say I'm surprised, but would you believe me?

I'd say you're a liar. And liars are the worse.

[He presses a quick and gentle kiss to her shoulder.]

[Zetta sniggers and turns her head enough for her to nuzzle him. Riley watches them with soft affection clear in his eyes.]
