[closed] the only constant is change
Who: the Fallout AU crew
Setting: the Commonwealth
Summary: BoS things, institute things
Warnings: Fallout warnings, smut
Other: [original notes] [first post] [second post] [third post] [fourth post] [fifth post] [sixth post] [seventh post] [eighth post]
- minor timeskip to when the BoS has its feet under it again, shaun asks riley to go up and keep an eye on them and deacon goes with
- they get assigned to a BoS squad composed of AU versions of chancellery guards (paladin archimedes o'hallan, knight-captain anthony norris, lancer-sargeant alex reyes, knight riley reynolds, knight everett wynter, knight henry "hal" saller, aspirant 'jack' "deacon" 'priest')
- maybe some minor quests involving getting to know them, gotta get some solid Bonding going
- sarrith (sarah, secret enclave remnant) and sal's romeo and juliet romance
- that one quest where you get the nukes from the glowing sea for the BoS
- wynter's mistake and gradual ghoulification and the position it puts the squad in
- blind betrayal
- shaun announces ferran officially as his successor
- ferran dealing with the short institute quests that result from that
- shaun discovering ferran's a slut and trying to talk to him about it
- zetta freaking out bc they're spending all this time waiting for her to recover and dealing with the BoS, and not having the time to try to figure out a way to save shaun
- zetta, in general, driving shaun slowly up the wall because she's cooped up and needs to be kept occupied or else Bad Things Start Happening, why is this shaun's life, this was not what he was expecting at all
- ferran going on missions with x6-88 / house divided, warwick
- nathan and zay's one night stand with ferran becoming not a one night stand any more
- at some point we need to have nathan call deacon a mongrel to his face so zetta can go positively nuclear
- zay finding out nathan is taking buffout
- build towards the railroad and institute being on better terms (not *stable*, but they need to be in a position where they're willing to make an alliance at the battle for bunker hill and afterwards to take the BoS down)
- probably need to do a meeting with dez and carrington, bc jfc (and ferran being the next director makes it easier to make negotiations on the institute's behalf though shaun probably doesnt fully trust him with that wrt the railroad yet, shaun needs to see ferran make decisions that benefit the institute OVER the railroad for that)
- mass fusion happens before battle for bunker hill, lighting a fire under the brotherhood's ass (still use it as the faction cut-off point?)
- at the battle, brotherhood wins -- keeping them a legitimate threat and serving as the push for the institute and railroad to work together against them

well, oh, it seems you're a lot like me
you dug yourself into places you never thought you would be
but don't you fret, and don't you mind
the only constant is change,
and you never know what you'll find
yeah, tomorrow i might wake up nice and clean
and i might believe the things i said i didn't mean
and this might turn and wind up just the way we'd dreamed
and i might become the things i swore i'd always be

He presses in a second finger.]
no subject
After a moment to regather himself, he manages a snark:] You see? You're getting no complaints from me.
no subject
[He takes his fingers from Zay and slathers more lube onto his hand and slicks up his length.]
no subject
[But he isn't terribly motivated to. He lowers himself onto his knees, ready to move to straddle Nathan again once he's finished.]

He quirks his eyebrows up.] And here I am, without an apology. [God, does he want Nathan to fuck him. But he also wants to win.]
no subject
And again, the concept of promptitude seems to escape you.
no subject
I'm making a point. [He is just barely not smirking.]
no subject
And what point would that be? That you enjoy provoking me?
no subject
The point is that you've been unfairly impatient and you owe me an apology.
no subject
And yet...Nathan does want to get off some time this year.]
Fine. I'm sorry for expecting that we were actually going to fuck before the heat death of the universe caught up with us first.
no subject
Yes, love, very convincing, [he says, still laughing, but he lowers himself down, properly in Nathan's reach -- but doesn't lower himself down just yet. If Nathan wants to, he could very well thrust up into him now -- and Zay would relish it, with how wound up he's gotten him.]
no subject
Does that mean we're going to get on with it now?
no subject
[Zay is still snickering. And he's still waiting for Nathan to make the move, despite -- or because of -- the games he's played so far.]
no subject
Nathan pushes his hips up and god he hopes that Zay means it. His balls are heavy and aching and he needs to come and he'd like to do it in Zay.]
no subject
no subject
[The soft noise is pulled out of him as Zay gets him right up against his entrance. So easy now to just...
He thrusts up into Zay, deep as he can go in the first push.]
no subject
Zay's head tips forward, chin hitting his chest, and he lets out a low, loud groan. Yes. This is what he wanted. This is what he was hoping Nathan would do. Riling him up is always so worth it. So worth it.
And now, the game is finally, completely over. He rolls his hips immediately, relishing in the singing it sets in his nerves.]
no subject
About...
...bloody...
...time....
no subject
... but he can't not snark back, all the same.] Oh, you... loved every minute, [he pants.]
no subject
Minute?
[He tries to scoff but it comes out more like a gasp.]
It felt more like hours.
[He stops thrusting long enough to sit up and flip them over so Zay's on his back under him. Perfect position for pounding in. He snaps his hips back into motion.
He might as well use the strength and endurance the Buffout has given him.]
no subject
And then Nathan is pounding into him and suddenly the conversation doesn't matter at all.
He moans, even louder than before, his hands scrabbling at Nathan's back.] Fuck, Nate, Nate --
